Victor & McLaughlin’s Ch Lafford Fly Me Too Farleysbane JW, Dog CC, Best of Breed and Group 2

Breed Judges report:

Ch Lafford Fly Me Too Farleysbane JW, I am not known to compromise conformation and movement for daintiness and elegance and in the past more often than not put up dogs which are on the larger side of the standard. However, this little tri dog caught my eye the moment he entered the ring and I was delighted to find that there was no need for compromise either! Combines refinement with a well constructed firm and sound body, beautifully balanced head with good stop and fine muzzle, attractive blaze, large well placed mobile ears, excellent reach of neck, sufficient length of upper arm, firm back of good length, well carried and plumed tail, fine bone, long hare-feet, excellent single coat, shown in full bloom, very positive movement with good drive from behind, all his virtues were enhanced by his glamorous and regal attitude. CC & BOB, Group 2 only beaten by the eventual BIS winner.

Group Judges report:

Ch Lafford Fly Me to Farleysbane JW, delightful Papillon dog, good head, eyes & ears, very good front, legs & feet, good topline & tailset, pleasing coat & fringing without being overdone, moved & showed well

Group Judges report

Ch Lafford Fly Me Too Farleysbane JW, Papillon, I loved him when he came into the ring in full coat, regal in deportment, that ‘look at me’ air of importance as he circled the ring with a graceful stride & handling him confirmed he is that good, his head is a joy, loved his refinement in muzzle, those dark, bright eyes & well flared & fringed ears, impeccable in coat presentation he looks a star & he would be a worthy group winner in his own right but today met something quite special.

The breed details are so correct on this dog and make a lovely overall picture. He would be a big winner on my side of the pond, too.

Victor & McLaughlin’s Ch Lafford Fly Me Too Farleysbane JW, This strikingly elegant, nicely coated, lightly marked tri has a beautiful head, sweetest expression, rather than masculine, dark eye & large, well fringed ears, superb reach of neck, level topline which gives him such elegance when moving, which he does extremely well, he glides rather than stride around the ring, he has possibly one of the best tailsets here, which he retains while standing & on the move. Lafford Fly Me Too Farleysbane JW r/w, good head with lovely dark eyes, evenly spaced blaze, lovely earset with excellent fringes, light bone, correct hair feet, excellent topline both standing & moving. Would like a slightly better front. In the challenge he spoilt his chances for the CC by squinting so it wasn’t possible to see his true expression, although I went back to him on numerous occasion he had to settle for Reserve CC.
